THE BLACK DAWN

Set in the Warcraft universe, The Black Dawn is a Campaign and Level designed in Warcraft III editor, following a Human Prince investigating the attack on night elves.

Overview

Starting level layout

with terrain outlining.

The level is a fast paced and linear adventure focusing on survival of the player. Main intention of the level was to build a huge world. The end product (the playable level) serves as a small part and introduction (due to limited time & overshot scope) to originally planned lengthier campaign.

The linearity of the level allows the player to go through the main campaign without any blockers. Side path & puzzles are mostly presented with environmental & visual hints rather than dialogues. The game-play (Combat) is designed to be challenging for the new players, and medium for the experienced RTS / Warcraft players.
